WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Nov 23)

1. Worst. Era. Ever.

Triple H shouldn€™t have a job in professional wrestling. I€™m convinced that his involvement in WWE at this point is a net negative. The most current case in point was his promo on SmackDown. Now, unless you€™re under 12, odds are you don€™t think this is the best WWE era ever. Most long time fans probably preferred Rock €˜n€™ Wrestling or The Attitude Era. This is what Triple H also thinks. During his promo, Hunter told us that he came from the best era in wrestling history: The Attitude Era. Hunter is also, most likely, the future boss of WWE. He is telling us that the best days were 15 years ago...oh, but also subscribe to the WWE Network to see a product that isn€™t as good as it used to be! Would the producers of the next James Bond film tell us that their film won€™t be as good as Casino Royale, but we should come see it anyway? Shouldn€™t the boss say that the current era is the best one ever? That should be the goal of the promoter: convince us that things have never been better. I get that Hunter is a heel, but his comment didn't put heat on him, it just made the company look bad. There just wasn€™t any good reason for Triple H to again devalue the current roster, the roster he will someday inherit. It€™s just amazing that his comments made the air, and that Vince McMahon didn€™t catch-up with him after the segment and tell him €œYou€™re fired!€ Sadly, the other top management probably didn€™t even realize what a ridiculous thing that was for him to say. Perhaps they too have grown tired of their own product, didn€™t notice, and were sitting in the back watching shows from a better era. Time to kick out. Agree? Disagree? What was your worst wrestling moment of the week? Sound off below and thanks for reading!

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
