WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Nov 29)

5. Larry The Mabel Guy

I'm calling this entry Larry the Mabel Guy, because seeing Larry the Cable Guy on Raw was about as exciting as seeing Mabel win King of the Ring in 1995. Also, 1995 is about the last time Larry was actually popular (okay, more like 2005 or 2007). It's just odd. Vince McMahon is known to hate "rasslin", and it's believed that part of the reason A.J. Styles isn't in WWE is because management doesn't like his Southern drawl. Well Larry the Cable Guy is considered about as lowbrow, Southern humor as it gets, and he gets a free pass? Oh, and welcome back Santino. I see all that time away somehow even made you less funny than before! Why does he get to be considered a comedy guy when nearly everyone on the roster probably does things that are more inadvertanetly funny than he does? And just think of how bizarre it is that that Santino and Cable Guy are staring in a movie from 1996 (only one year in a post Mabel winning King of the Ring world) and one of the lead actors is dead (Phil Harman), the other probably doesn't even know the sequel is being made (Schwarzenegger) and then there's Sinbad. Even Sinbad is too good to be in this film. What does that say about WWE movies?

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
