So long Billy. We had a pretty fun time together, but somewhere along the way you likely called out Dixie Carter for all her bulls**t, and that didn’t play well with her, so she found another suitor who would at least let her keep a dumb title so she wouldn't look like a total failure on the sale.

The year 2016 was my favorite for TNA, and I’ve been there since the beginning. I used to order some of those old weekly $10 pay-per-views back in high school, even though I didn’t like the product that much. I just liked WWE less at the time! So from a personal standpoint, this kind of stinks. I hadn’t been this excited over the company’s future since Paul Heyman briefly business flirted with Dixie a few years back.

However, with the Fight Network taking over, at least the wrestlers themselves should get paid for their work, like most decent employers do for their employees. And with Dixie out of the picture (though I still can’t quite believe that), hopefully some more money can be pumped into this thing from a production standpoint to help them look more major league.

Maybe some good will come out of this, and Billy can start up his own company. But him out of TNA for now is a bit of a downer.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
