WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Nov 9)

2. My Brother My Target

When Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage were teaming up in WCW years after their run as The Mega Powers, there was a match where Hogan was knocked out by the vicious and ample backsided Booty Man. To revive his partner, Savage decided the best course of action would be to jump off the top rope, and hit his parter in the heart with his trademark elbow drop. Instead of further injuring Hogan, it magically rejuvenated him. It was Mega Dumb! On Impact this past week, we had an incident that was somewhat similar (if you go by comparing the two on the grounds of stupidity) when Samoa Joe had Matt Hardy locked in the Coquina Clutch. All appeared to be lost. Then Jeff struggled to his feet after being knocked out of the ring and got up on the ring apron. Instead of walking three feet to enter the ring and kick Joe in the head to save his brother, he decided to climb the turnbuckle. This actually required more work for him, and while on top of this turnbuckle, he decided the best plan of action was to hit his own brother with the Swanton Bomb to break up the pin. That seemed unnecessary. If I were Matt, I would€™ve been pissed, and refused to go to Thanksgiving with him. Aren€™t finishers supposed to knock people out? Jeff put his brother€™s well-being at risk instead of directly attacking Joe. As bad as that was, the announcers were fully onboard when Taz said €œHe had to do it!€ Well, besides the fact that he didn't have to do it at all, I guess that makes sense.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
