WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Oct 10)

7. The Beast Leashed

The Road to Hell tour has been a little underwhelming so far. We€™re getting dangerously close to the hell part, and it€™s not quite as hot as you€™d think. Brock isn't at fault, as all he€™s asked to do is smile while the crowd chants "Suplex City!" To start Raw off on a hot note this week, WWE opened the show with Brock. Not a terrible idea, as it reinforces the concept that anything can happen at any time. There€™s a couple problems with how he was booked, though. The first is that he easily disposed of Big Show and F5€™d him, which was kind of the entire point of their match two nights earlier. The second flaw is that appearance was for Brock. He€™s got a third match against Taker, and only one more Raw to go. That's all they could think of for him to do? There€™s overexposing a talent, and then there€™s having him do so little to promote his upcoming match that it makes the showdown feel pretty normal. For some reason, Undertaker can€™t even be bothered to show up via video and talk about what this match means to him, or what he€™s going to do to Brock. WWE is almost out of time to make this potential WrestleMania main event feel special, but it seems like they€™re just throwing money away by not even trying.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
