WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Oct 10)

2. Screw You Josh

€œAll the net nerds are saying (in a mocking nerd voice) €˜Why is Austin Aries out here? He lost to Rockstar Spud in a career vs. name match. How is Austin Aries involved in the world title series?€™ Look, Austin Aries is the smartest man in the history of professional wrestling. He€™s a former world champion. There€™s a group called group champions. And Aries found his way into the world title series.€
Wait. Did Josh Matthews just call me a nerd? Did he really insult the fans of the show he hosts? What a stupid d**k. I don't recall Bob Barker calling me names while on the Price is Right! Josh, the company you are employed by has seen its ratings shrink in half since they left Spike TV. Nearly all of the top names are gone. You're about to get kicked off your new network in a few months. The only people remaining who still watch this show are the most hardcore fans. You know, the people who pay attention to storylines? On August 5th, just over two months ago, Aries lost to Rockstar Spud in a career vs. name match. This meant his career in TNA was over. Aries returns, (with the former Rosita, with absolutely no explanation as to why they're together) and to possibly question how that is possible is worth mocking, apparently. Josh, let€™s be real for a moment. You€™re vastly under-qualified for the lead play-by-play role. Despite being employed in wrestling for over a decade, you don€™t understand simple things like why cheering for EC III is bad for business. Did Jim Ross praise the antics of evil Vince McMahon? Did Gordon Solie fawn over Ric Flair? Did Tony Schiavone cheerlead Hulk Hogan? No. Because it would have been foolish, and undercut the heels attempt to draw heat. It's about as foolish as mocking the remaining fanbase. Ya nerd!

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
