WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Oct 1)

5. Babyface Blues

Seth Rollins

Clash of Champions had one of the the least interesting main events in recent memory. Who were we supposed to cheer, the guy who was handed the WWE Title by his boss, or the guy who was upset that he wasn’t handed the WWE Title by his boss?

The confusing main event was due in large part because Seth Rollins has had one of the absolute worst babyface turns in years. It capped off a night filled with a lot of great effort, but stars who are a fraction as over as they should be due to terrible booking.

The company just hasn’t bothered to make us care for Rollins in any way. He still comes across as a sniveling whiner, not a hero who has learned the errors of his ways and is out to right his past wrongs. He’s just a loser who was kicked out of a group of non-wrestlers, and has been replaced by a less pathetic model. What is endearing about that? How is that supposed to get him over with the audience?

Well, it clearly hasn’t so far, and it’s made watching Raw even more of a chore than usual.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
