1. Steph’s New Deal

Stephanie McMahon has signed a three year extension with WWE. Who knew she even had to do such a thing? But it’s been done, and so it must be commented on.

I would love to know how her performance review went. “So Steph, from 2015-2016 the audience of the show you’re the head of the creative team for has shrunk by 25%. Your character has received more screen time than anyone in the company, but you’ve sold less merchandise than Bo Dallas. You’ve created no real stars since 2004 with John Cena, and the only show that fans don’t constantly rip on is the one you have absolutely nothing to do with. How does a nice raise sound?”

Of course, there was absolutely no reason to think that Steph was going anywhere. But is her staying on for three (to 30) more years, and being rewarded for failure anything but the absolute worst or the worst?

Time to kick out.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
