WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Oct 4)

3. Bound For The Toilet

Bound for Glory is TNA€™s version of Bound for Glory, their absolute most star-studded, biggest show of the year. Last year they seemed to give up on the pay-per-view industry except for random, storyline free, inconsequential One Night Only pay-per-views, but Glory and a couple others stuck around. Two years ago, BFG was main-evented by A.J. Styles and Bully Ray, (fun fact,15 of the 25 wrestlers on the card are no longer with the company). This year, it's like they're not even trying...again. Due to so much inner-turmoil, BFG was left by the wayside in 2014 when they went to Japan, and the champion of the company didn€™t even have a match on the show. With a move to a new network, and some time to stabilize their roster, you€™d think they€™d put some effort into making their show mean something once more. You€™d THINK. Instead, Matt Hardy was added to the main event of the show four days before it aired. Kurt Angle, the biggest star in the history of the company, didn€™t have his opponent mentioned until days before either. The man he€™s facing? Eric Young, who was defeated cleanly by Chris Melendez on the go-home show, and beaten by the rest of the roster. The X-Division match match is composed of wrestlers who seem thrown together, and Rockstar Spud, one of the breakout stars of the past year (as much as one can break out in TNA) is booked in a match that still didn€™t have the details finalized four days before the show! With so much money being involved, so many wrestlers to book, this should have been thought out better. Will things get worse? Well, at this point, Bound for Glory 2016 is likely to be booked at your local high school gym featuring a cast of wrestlers put together the day of the show.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
