Lowest Raw rating of the year? How low can they go?

This is a somewhat historic entry at Worst of the Week, as for the first time in perhaps months, neither The New Day or Gallows and Anderson have made the list. Though uh...Xavier Woods claiming “Entertainment is our thing” may have been true about a year ago, but not so much these days. However, I am going to be an adult and let that one slide.

Actually, that wasn’t even the most ridiculous thing said by someone in WWE all week, as Michael Cole called Alicia Fox “One of the most accomplished wrestlers in the women’s division for years.” That's an interesting statement, but had he been paying attention over the past decade, he would realize that she’s literally the least accomplished (perhaps next to Rosa Mendes) wrestler in the division. That would have been like him calling Mojo Rawley one of the least annoying people in the company.

We also found out that not only does Shane McMahon not watch Raw, but he apparently doesn't pay attention to ratings, as he proudly (and quite sweatily) exclaimed at Backlash that SmackDown’s are “exploding!” I’m guessing he meant to say “imploding.”

Well, Senor Benjamin is safe, and A.J. Styles and Kevin Owens are our champions, but things are actually pretty damn bad in wrestling right now. So gather up your seven children and let’s all go through WWE and TNA’s worst of the week!

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
