WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Sept 4)
5. P.L.E.A.S.E. S.T.O.P.
Yes, it’s week number 8,312 in a row of The Club making the worst of the week. They’ve been used so terribly that I’ve retroactively added something like 114 years to them making the list here.
When their feud with The New Day commenced, I was hoping it would lead to a more serious versions of The New Day. The three guys who used to be funny, but are now just mainly annoying (Who? Who? Who? Who?) would attempt to match the intensity of Gallows and Anderson, and we’d have ourselves nice little feud.
What we get instead is The Club continually trying comedy, and they’re terrible at it. This week they finally got rid of their bad balls jokes, and have now picked up...old fart...ugh.
WWE isn’t using the two for their strengths and booking them in a way that got them over in Japan. If the company wanted another comedy team they could have hired Kazarian and Christopher Daniels from ROH. But they hired a badass tag team for the role, which would be like hiring Diamond Dallas Page and having him play a motivational speaker, or bringing in Dusty Rhodes and making him wear polka dots.
