WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Sept 4)
3. Next Please
Something with NXT isn’t working like it used to. It’s likely a mix of a lot of their top wrestlers being called up, and their head writer going to SmackDown, but whatever it is, the brand hasn’t been that interesting in months.
The NXT Takeover events are still highly entertaining, but week-to-week there's nothing to get excited about.
This latest edition of the show was one of the weakest episodes they’ve put on in ages. Tye Dillinger vs. Buddy Murphy, Steve Cutler vs. Kenneth Crawford, No Way Jose vs. Angelo Dawkins and Liv Morgan vs. Aliyah in the worst televised match in April. Then Nakamura thanked the crowd. That was it.
If you took the worst material on Raw this week and added it all together, it was still more interesting than what NXT put on. The brand still has plenty of great talent, but the product is largely flat.
Hopefully the show comes across a couple of hot angles soon, as it feels strange to say, but they’re arguably the least entertaining show in WWE.
