WWE Armageddon PPVs - From Worst To Best

1. 2007

The Good: A wrestling fan's wrestling show, Armageddon 2007 featured several top notch matches and a minimum of nonsense. There were two contenders for best match of the night, one of which was Triple H and Jeff Hardy's No.1 contenders match. Jeff was really starting to get over at this point, but some still doubted as to whether WWE would pull the trigger and let him score a clean win over The Game. But he did, cradling Trips after fifteen minutes of solid action. A more surprising contender for best bout came in the shape of Mr. Kennedy (....Kennedy) versus Shawn Michaels. A psychologically-tight encounter, this proved that Kennedy could hang with the very best in the world. HBK's selling was typically on-point and he really did what he could to put Kennedy over (before he inevitably beat him with the Sweet Chin Music). The Batista/Edge/Undertaker main event perhaps could and should have been a little better, given the talent involved, but it was a fine show-closer nonetheless. Randy Orton's WWE Title defence against recent returnee Chris Jericho was fine, but the finish (JBL interfering after Jericho had crashed into him on the announce table) kind of sucked. And Rey Mysterio and MVP kicked the event off well enough with a solid opener. The Bad: CM Punk was made to look like such a jobber in his and Kane's tag team match with the gruesome twosome of Big Daddy V and Mark Henry. It took WWE ages to really see what they had in Punk. Great Khali versus Finlay wasn't Finlay's best match and, while the action was alright, nobody in the crowd really cared about Beth Phoenix Women's Title match with Mickie James. The Rest: Jesse and Festus beat Miz and Morrison on the pre-show. They probably forgot to shake JBL's hand or something.
