Training under Finn Balor since the age of 15, Becky Lynch has worked tirelessly to even make it to WWE. When she and others like Charlotte and Sasha Banks landed on the main roster in the Summer months of 2015, Lynch flew under the radar somewhat. In storyline, she was even used by Paige for some easy promo bashing, the Brit declaring her Irish chum the least-relevant one amongst the women.

Around a year later, Becky is the first ever SmackDown Women's Champion. She was undoubtedly the best choice for the role, and she acts as a brilliant babyface counterpoint to the heelish Charlotte on Monday Night Raw at the same time. It was great to see Lynch snag the title at Backlash.

Lastly beating Carmella, Becky had the fans in her corner from the get-go. Just like the grappler herself, people have been waiting for this. At times, she's been the third wheel for others in major female feuds, but it's now Lynch's time to shine and show what she can do with a title around her waist.
