WWE Backlash 2016: 10 Things That Must Happen

1. Dean Ambrose & AJ Styles Get Serious

WWE's legendary former announcer Jim Ross once said that comedy has no place in the main event scene, so he must be horrified to see what's been going on between Dean Ambrose and AJ Styles. Spots like Styles getting crotched on the top rope and Dean handing AJ a trophy on SmackDown have done little to make bad blood boil in the WWE World Heavyweight Title headliner for Backlash.

Come bell time, that has to change. Maybe the best way to go about this would be to have Styles antagonise Ambrose with a kick to the groin before the start of their match, giving the reigning champion motivation to beat the heck out of his chief rival.

One thing is for sure, the main event of Backlash can't be played for laughs, it'll fall flat if that's the way WWE book things. When all the talking is done and the fighting starts, it's vital that Ambrose vs. Styles is treated like a serious WWE Title bout. Otherwise, the creative squad are cheating themselves out of what should be a wonderful match.
