WWE Backlash 2017: 20 Best Internet Reactions To Jinder Mahal's Win

19. Way To Celebrate A Big Debut

Given that Shinsuke Nakamura was the poster-boy for Backlash, you'd think the big story coming out of the event would be his debut. Unfortunately, thanks in no small part to the end of the PPV, it won't be remembered. It also didn't help that the match was put on first (opening the floor to accusations of curtain jerking), and that Nakamura was forced to sell for most of the match, making Dolph Ziggler (a famed seller himself, remember) look way too strong.

Could it be because WWE know they don't have a mic worker on their hands? Could the hype for Nakamura end up washing away to reveal a midcarder limited by his inability to talk?

Meanwhile, JBL continues to make friends (and unwittingly became the mouthpiece of the company, at least in the eyes of those looking for a reason for the booking of the Nakamura match)...

Maybe there's just a bit of a backlash against the commentator at the minute. You know, because of certain contextual events...
