WWE Backlash 2018: 10 Things That Must Happen

1. Samoa Joe Shocks Roman Reigns

This whining Roman Reigns character would be perfect as a heel. Fans detest Roman as it is, and they hate him even more for moping around the place claiming he didn't really lose to Brock Lesnar at the Greatest Royal Rumble.

By heaping yet more misery on Reigns, WWE would set the table nicely for his promo the next night on Raw and give Samoa Joe a credible win over one of the roster's biggest stars. That's right: Joe must be the winner at Backlash.

It'd be refreshing to see a heel talk a good game pre-match and then come through on his boastful claims when it counted. Joe is the right man to fill that role, because fans believe in what he's saying and know he can back it up physically.

A shock win over Roman could prepare the Samoan for a stab at the WWE Title (there are worse ideas than making him AJ's next opponent) and, at the exact same time, further the whinge-fest angle Reigns has been working lately.
