WWE Backlash 2018: 10 Things That Must Happen

2. The No DQ Match Starts With A Vicious Brawl

It would have been risky for WWE to try and force another straight one-on-one match between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura at Backlash, especially now Nakamura has turned heel and keeps sneaking up on the WWE Champion with low blow after low blow.

A No Disqualification match was the best choice then, and it's happening on Sunday. Still, it's important that WWE let both men use that stipulation rather than writing them to start the match mid-ring.

By dispensing with the usual in-ring introductions and (instead) booking AJ to attack Shinsuke as soon as he enters the arena, the heel's sneaky tactics would be properly addressed by a flustered champ. Not only would this make the match a potential classic, it'd also sell the street fight style of it and differentiate the match from prior ones in New Orleans and Saudi Arabia.

By this point, Styles should have had more than enough of being ambushed from behind by his challenger. It's time for him to fight back as soon as he claps eyes on Nakamura.
