There's a sense that Raw's creative team don't really know where Braun Strowman slots in on the show at the moment. A popular babyface capable of running comedy and hammering anyone physically is tough to book, it seems. That's why he's been stuck in a throwaway tag match with Bobby Lashley against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

Ideally, a heel win to put over the teamwork between KO/Zayn works for this one. They're in greater need of success to sell them as a unit, hopefully so they can go on to challenge for the Raw Tag-Team Titles over the next few months.

There's also a creeping feeling that Lashley would be better off as a heel opponent for Braun, not a partner.

Lashley is already falling into a trap on Raw. Fans aren't sure why he's back, and there's been next-to-no promo time explaining his goals. It's time he started getting in Strowman's face, and he could do that after taking the fall against KO/Zayn at Backlash.
