WWE Backlash 2020: 10 Things That Must Happen

10. WWE Resist Adding Extra Matches

At time of writing, Backlash has seven matches on the card. That's exactly one short of Money In The Bank, and doesn't include any unnecessary Kickoff fare. Don't be surprised if WWE add a "bonus" bout or two the show to pad things out and make sure folks tuning in on YouTube get a freebie.

They shouldn't.

There's no need for lame duck singles matches like Otis vs. 'King' Corbin or Cesaro vs. Shorty G, and the people are hardly clamouring to see The Street Profits and Viking Raiders continue their long-assed run of comedy vignettes on pay-per-view.

Seven is more than enough when even some of the matches confirmed are struggling to feel pay-per-view quality as it is. These empty arena shows don't need to be too long; WWE has nothing to gain by plonking TV matches onto these cards.
