WWE Backlash 2020: 10 Things That Must Happen

9. The Universal Title Match Is Short

One of the matches struggling the most is Braun Strowman's handicap Universal Title defence against The Miz and John Morrison. This is somehow even less riveting than other bogus two-on-ones from the archives like The Undertaker vs. The Dudley Boyz at Great American Bash 2004.

That's damning.

WWE obviously wanted to hold off on a Braun vs. Bray Wyatt rematch until Extreme Rules at the earlier, and that's why they're about to sacrifice a fine tag-team to SmackDown's main man. It wouldn't be a total shock if Wyatt's 'Fiend' showed up here to give the handicap an edge and tease that Strowman might lose.

The truth is, he won't. Everybody knows the outcome here, and there's no threat at all from Miz and Morrison or need to drag things out too long. They're cannon fodder for the big guy, and one can only hope that WWE has the sense to keep things short.
