4. Open And Shut Case For Empty Arena Star
That Nia Jax failed to kill Asuka when the pair met in NXT some four years ago augurs well for the other Kabuki Warrior's ongoing mortality at Backlash this Sunday, though it's worth noting, as is typical of NXT call-ups, Jax has grown drastically worse since then. And drastically more dangerous, as she compensates for decreased mobility owing to two nasty ACL tears with brute strength.
Asuka is the most talented performer in WWE, and if anyone can deftly protect themselves whilst guiding The Irresistible Klutz to a halfway decent match, it's her. It's for the same reason she's been the unquestionable star of the shut-door season, and it's patently obvious that, having being gifted the title from Becky Lynch - a segment which could have easily ended in a (soft) heel beatdow of a pregnant woman by someone like Jax for maximum heat - she isn't going to relinquish it so soon. And not to a woman who has been something of an afterthought.
Prediction: Banning the buckle-bomb saves Asuka's bacon.
