Despite spending the better part of 40 hours a week both writing and reviewing wrestling content, I'm not ashamed to admit that ahead of this Sunday's pay-per-view, I had to look up who the Universal Champion was. And I was still stunned to learn that it was Braun Strowman.

The way his Backlash defence has been booked, it seems WWE went through a similar process, as it has all the hallmarks of a cheap holiday deals website (remember those?): last minute booking dot com (other cheap holiday sites are available).

It goes without saying that this match exists purely for its mirth potential; there is absolutely no chance whatsoever that the Miz/Morrison pairing is splitting the Universe between them. It'll likely be a case of the pair using up to 10% of their maximum agility to stave off the marauding champ, before he eventually catches them in some sort of double-chokeslam spot. Cue laughter.

Prediction: The Universal Title stays on (*checks*) Braun Strowman!

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
