So, mind you, does Cody Rhodes toppling Brock Lesnar.

"Finish the story" has been Cody's mantra since rejoining WWE last year. Post-injury, Rhodes won the Royal Rumble then jobbed to Roman Reigns at 'Mania 39. That disappointed many, and those folks would be picketing outside WWE HQ if creative dared put Brock over at Backlash.

WWE has nothing to lose and everything to gain by making Cody look extremely strong. He can bump around for countless Lesnar suplexes, and even look like 'The Beast' is another hurdle that's simply too high for him to scale. Then, at the last moment, Rhodes will do what he couldn't in Hollywood.

He'll rally, blitz Brock with a volley of power moves and then Cross-Rhodes the f*ck out of him en route to a memorable triumph. Post-match, Cody can do that belt motion, and make it crystal clear what he has planned next on Raw.

Again, simple, but it's logical.
