WWE Backlash 2024: 10 Things That Must Happen
2. LA Knight Attacks AJ Styles
Cast your minds back to Elimination Chamber in February. AJ Styles hopped a flight all the way to Australia just so he could screw LA Knight out of the titular Chamber bout and crush his World Title dreams. LA reciprocated by going to AJ's house before the cops broke things up. Then, the warring duo clashed at 'Mania.
Knight won that battle. Later, Styles beat him in a tournament match on TV to earn this crack at Cody Rhodes. Man, these two have been going back and forth for ages now, and it's sensational. They've been having one of the best non-title feuds on wrestling telly, and there's no need to stop the ride to let everyone off.
LA and AJ are locked at 1-1, which means a blowoff is pending.
That can always come on the next Saudi special (King & Queen Of The Ring), or over in Scotland on the weirdly non-stadium Clash At The Castle show. To get there, Knight can attack Styles after AJ's loss to Cody, then they can brawl out of the building as Rhodes settles down to celebrate.
