WWE Banned List - Why You Can't Say These 23 Terms

6. "Fans"

Most fans will know that they're not meant to be called fans. No, they're part of the "WWE Universe" - that brand name has annoyed many over the years since WWE started using it. Its grip on things has loosened more recently though.

In Vince's doc, "fans" gives way to "you". For example, announcers should say, 'Drew McIntyre really appeals to you, the WWE Universe' rather than, 'Drew McIntyre is a fan favourite'. That should only be used if one wants McMahon to rip their head off post-show.

Bizarrely, "our fans" is accepted (and actually written down as an alternative) in the document.
