WWE Battleground: 10 Awesome Moments

4. Kevin Owens DDT On John Cena

The Undertaker Brock Lesnar
WWE

John Cena has said it himself in the press, Kevin Owens brings out the best in him routinely. Every single time these guys have had a match together, live event or televised, the reports are glowing, which really says it all. When was the last time, for example, that people could log onto wrestling forums and see staunch Ring Of Honor supporters praising John Cena!?

The argument of Cena's ability as an in-ring performer is one for another day, but the man deserves equal praise to Owens for just how kick-ass their matches on WWE Pay-Per-Views recently have been. There's a lively feel to the atmosphere when these men lock up against one another, and the whole thing has helped make both Cena and the US Title relevant to older fans again.

There have been many cool-looking moves throughout their series, but none better than the simple DDT Owens delivered on Cena at Battleground. Spiking his opponent squarely on his head, Cena took the move like a pro, and it's a reminder of just how effective moves such as this can be. It may have led to a rudimentary near fall, but the replays showed just how sweet the bump looked.
