One of the major highlights of Battleground was the Triple Threat Match pitting Brie Bella against both Charlotte and Sasha Banks. As aforementioned, the crowd were right into what Charlotte and Banks (especially) were doing throughout the contest, and it was clear to see just how much of a renewed vibe there was to the whole Diva concept in WWE.

It would have been fairly easy to WWE's writing staff to book a finish that involved a whole load of shenanigans, leading to a routine win for Brie, but the fact they chose a different finish represents progress for the women. Charlotte was scheduled to defeat the less-busty Bella Twin with her trademark hold, the 'Figure Eight'.

Of course, the move is a homage to her father, 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair's own Figure Four, and the bridge Charlotte does out of the move only adds her own unique stamp to something traditional. That's awesome, both the fact that Charlotte was given the win on her first major WWE PPV appearance, and the fact she's been able to pay tribute to tradition whilst simultaneously making her own mark.
