WWE: Battleground - 10 Best Moments

1. A Swerve On The Rollins/Ambrose Feud

Many were disappointed by the lack of a proper Ambrose vs Rollins match last night but we're taking the opposite stance here and saying that it's the best thing that possibly could have happened. Why, you ask? A few factors, one being what actually happened instead. The multiple pull apart brawls in which both entire teams of security and even Triple H himself couldn't keep Ambrose away from Rollins served to build both characters in a way that a simple match could not have done. Rollins got himself across as the cowardly suck-up heel, only willing to take to the ring and gloat about Ambrose's apparent loss by forfeit when he thought Ambrose could not longer get to him. In the same way, Ambrose got himself over big time in a manner reminiscent of Austin continually assaulting Vince back in the day. Every time they pulled him away, he played the defiant rebel in a performance that would have made Jack Nicholson proud. The final segment in which Ambrose emerged from the boot of Rollins' car was also inspired, getting across that Ambrose was just as cunning and devious as Rollins, Rollins selling the realisation of that fact perfectly before Ambrose popped out and attacked him. The other main factor is that now, we get the blowoff match to the hottest non-title feud in a long time on the bigger stage it deserves. When they announced the match at Battleground, we were excited for it as Ambrose and Rollins have been the most entertaining thing on WWE television this past two months. However, this was a constructive way to hold off on Ambrose finally getting his hands on Rollins until Summerslam, where we will finally get the big match between the two we've all been clamouring for.
