mate. When it comes to Battleground, the WWE seems to be avoiding the West
Coast, with St Louis, Missouri being the furthest they’ve ventured inland.
2013’s show came to us from the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York, 2014 from the Tampa Bay Times Forum in — you guessed it —Tampa Bay, Florida, and last year’s show was the St Louis edition from the Scottrade Center.
And the East Coast custom continues this year as Battleground graces the Verizon Center in the nation’s capital of Washington, DC. Incidentally, this is the first PPV that Washington has hosted since the aptly-named Capitol Punishment show of 2011.
I’m not sure what the significance of all this is, other than it gives us another titbit of trivia to feast upon — and a great excuse to have an Ali G binge on YouTube.
