2. 20 Man Battle Royal For The Vacant Intercontinental Championship
There are 20 men in this match, with the key competitors being Cesaro, Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler, Big E, Rob Van Dam, Kofi Kingston, Sheamus and The Miz. In terms of excitement, it can be a struggle to get cohesive action when so many factors are involved. The story going in has also been fairly weak, does anyone really care about this match? Once it whittles down to the key men, it might get a little decent. There's guys in there who can string together transitions of action like Del Rio or Van Dam. Then you have the likes of Kofi Kingston who can elevate the contest with some of his unique spots. However we just can't help but to think that this will end up your standard cookie-cutter battle royal. WWE should be selling better features than this in 2014. As for the winner? Cesaro seems a solid bet. He has been on a losing streak recently, which was probably done to build surprise for this moment. Alternatively, maybe Sheamus wins. That would allow WWE to unify the US and IC title, which was rumoured numerous times over the last year. Winner and new Intercontinental Champion: Cesaro
