The introduction of another former NXT talent may muddy the waters slightly, but it still looks like Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks is very much on for SummerSlam. That's probably the biggest and most sought-after WWE Women's Title match yet, or at least the most enticing since WrestleMania 32's Triple Threat also involving Becky Lynch. Simply put, it needs to happen.

WWE produced a genuine surprise at Battleground in regards to Sasha's partner to take on Charlotte and Dana Brooke. In the midst of all that excitement, it shouldn't be forgotten that Banks was booked to make Charlotte tap out to the Bank Statement submission, a strong statement that feeds the idea of the SummerSlam match extremely well.

During this opening match on the pay-per-view, everything went right for those fans who believe Sasha is the future of women's wrestling in the company. Charlotte has been great in her role as heel champion, but her time is surely coming to an end as the top dog in the female ranks on the main roster.

If fan response is anything to go by, people are ready to crown Sasha Banks champ.
