The unfortunate by-product of the show kicking off with a barn-burning tag title match is that the rest of the PPV couldn't even begin to live up to it. Expectations weren't exactly high anyway, but the Usos and the New Day went above and beyond to deliver a highly entertaining opener that the show honestly didn't deserve.

Perhaps the most important takeaway from this opener is that it was free of gimmicky nonsense, overbooking or a weird ending: it was a simple athletic showcase that did exactly what it needed to. Sometimes that's all fans want.
