WWE Battleground 2017: 8 Things WWE Got Right

6. Eliminating Tamina & Lana First

As much as Lana tries hard, she'll need a lot more time before she's fully capable of shining in-ring with women like Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. The 'Ravishing Russian' just doesn't look comfortable yet, which makes sense given her relative inexperience as an actual pro wrestler.

Tamina is better, but she's only really there to make up the numbers in SmackDown's female ranks. Therefore, both were the right choices to be eliminated first from the Fatal-5-Way at Battleground. WWE were even able to add context to the eliminations too by writing Tamina to save Lana's bacon more than once.

Lana didn't return the favour, so that may lead to issues between those women. Meanwhile, Becky was kept strong by eliminating both by submission before being stunned by Natalya seconds later. This was definitely a case of agents looking to get Lana and Tamina out the way quickly whilst still telling a story.
