5. Randy Orton vs Sheamus
Fans with long memories might see this as an unappetising bout. It was during an Orton/Sheamus match on the post-Wrestlemania RAW that the fans, finding the matchup utterly dull, rebelled, giving rise to the now-tradition of chanting 'JBL' or 'Randy Savage' or 'Jerry' whenever the fans have lost interest in the match in front of them. That being said, however, both men are much hotter than they used to be. Randy Orton still has a sliver of residual goodwill from his botched face turn back in February and Sheamus' career has been given a blast of momentum from his new makeover and darker attitude. The two men regularly came to blows during the MITB ladder match, and with Orton's history with the briefcase, an interesting enough angle can be spun out between the two men in the five weeks before Battleground. Right now, Sheamus can afford the loss more, as he will always have the briefcase to keep him relevant, whereas Randy Orton hasn't picked up a PPV win since Wrestlemania.
