For WCW It Was A Win-Win Situation
There is little doubt that WCW poached a lot of the top talent off the WWE for much of the Monday Night Wars. While this made for good TV, it did rile some wrestling fans who believed that WCW was using superstars who had made their name in the rival promotion- stars such as Hulk Hogan, Lex Luger, Kevin Nash and Randy Savage to name a few. However, thanks to the Montreal Screwjob every wrestling fan in the land felt that Bret Hart was entitled to walk out on a company that had cheated him out of his title run in front of his home fans. For once WCW was not the bad guys- the WWE were as they were the company who disrespected their fans and Hart himself. So it seems like with all this going for it, it would be easy to slot Hart in to draw big bucks in WCW. Think again...and here's why.
