While there's no Elimination Chamber PPV this year, the Chamber itself will still be utilised.

With WWE currently with no Elimination Chamber PPV on the calendar for 2022 as it stands, it looks like the Chamber bout itself will be returning to action next month.

Per Fightful Select, WWE is planning to bring back the Elimination Chamber match for next month's Saudi Arabia show. As this stage, that Saudi special has yet have its name officially announced, although we do know that it will take place on Saturday 19 February. It's also not known whether we'll get a men's Chamber match, a women's, or both.

Vince McMahon's sports entertainment behemoth has been loosely planning to take the Chamber structure to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since last November's Crown Jewel event. Additionally, there has also been talks of taping an episode of regular WWE programming from Saudi at some point in the future - although there is no word right now on when that may take place.

While the first Elimination Chamber contest was held at the 2002 Survivor Series, WWE began running an annual Elimination Chamber PPV every February in 2010. Bar 2016, that event has taken place every February since '10, with last year's iteration of the PPV seeing Daniel Bryan win the SmackDown Chamber match to earn an immediate shot at Roman Reigns' Universal Title, and Drew McIntyre retaining his WWE Championship in the Raw brand Chamber offering - with McIntyre then being cashed-in on by The Miz and his MITB briefcase post-match.

Before we get to this Elimination Chamber-driven Saudi Arabia show, of course, there's the small matter of the Royal Rumble on 29 January.
