WWE Clash At The Castle 2022: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best
2. Universal Title: Roman Reigns (c) Vs. Drew McIntyre
Result: With some outside help from Solo Sikoa, Roman kept Drew down with a Spear to retain the strap (30:47).
Rating: If the biggest complaint about this show is the lack of marquee matches for such a long-awaited UK stadium event, the main event at least delivered in that regard.
This really felt like the time to take the belt off Roman, but as WWE has proven time and time again, they really don't like booking major title changes for overseas shows - because reasons.
Drew had the homefield crowd firmly behind him, and if not Drew in this moment, then when? Still, the match as a whole was a blast - a bit too long perhaps, but it continually switched up from an in-ring slug-fest to a demolition derby outside the ring, as helped keep it fresh.
Tyson Fury knocking Austin Theory to the ground when he attempted to cash in his Money in the Bank was hilarious, and though they perhaps overdid the finisher spam near-fall formula near the end, it was still a strong main event despite the disappointing result. 7/10
