WWE Clash At The Castle 2022: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best
1. Intercontinental Title: Gunther (c) Vs. Sheamus
Result: Gunther finally put Sheamus down with a Lariat for the win (19:33).
Rating: Sometimes all a match needs to be is two guys leathering the hell out of each other for 20 minutes, and to that end this was very, very hard hitting right from the jump.
But it didn't forget to be fun, either, with Sheamus having the crowd in the palm of his hand and truly making this feel like a much bigger fight than its card placement would suggest.
If you were somehow still skeptical about Gunther going into it, he surely obliterated all lingering doubt by the end, while at this stage of his career Sheamus continues to put on some of the best matches he's ever been a part of. You love to see it.
Hopefully we'll get to see a rematch in the near-future, because this pairing is just too damn good for a one-off. 9/10
