4. The Heel Turn At Raw 1000
When WWE wanted to do something special with Raw 1000, CM Punk was the man they went to. The main event of this anniversary show was another classic encounter between WWE Champion Punk and challenger John Cena. Unfortunately, this one was tarnished by the involvement of the Big Show, who caused the match to end in a DQ. However, this was just the beginning of one of the biggest angles of Punk's career. In a significant tip of the hat to how far Punk had come as a performer, the WWE decided to invest a six month feud in CM Punk taking on The Rock. Needless to say, that's a pretty big deal. The angle went down as the popular Punk shockingly turned heel, turning his back on John Cena to allow The Big Show to administer a beating. All of a sudden, The Rock's music hit. He came sprinting to the ring, taking out Big Show with a fell swoop. Then Punk stunned the world. Slipping back into the ring, Punk clotheslined Rock. He put an exclamation mark on it with a GTS. It was the start of arguably Punk's most high profile feud in the WWE it really doesn't get much bigger than facing off against The Rock.
