WWE Crown Jewel: 10 Last-Minute Rumours You Need To Know
10. Mansoor Wins
Is there anything more predictable than the hometown pop bestowed upon the Local-Boy-Done-Good in a one-off exhibition show? Well, yes, and it's Cesaro being the man trusted to drag an inexperienced worker to an entertaining match before selflessly lying down for the 1-2-3. One day, one day, they will look upon that man's career and realsie what they could have done with it.
Either way, Mansoor was the unlikely winner of the 51-Man Battle Royal at last year's Super ShowDown in Jeddah, eliminating Elias to the aforementioned "hometown pop". Since then he's been sighted at the Performance Center and occasionally on NXT UK, but it's not been the shot in the arm to his career he'd have likely hoped.
Putting him up against Cesaro though - a man who could probably drag me to a 3-star television match if you gave us enough time - is a no-brainer. He'll look a million dollars, get another Once In A Lifetime moment, and quietly slip into the background for a few months. There is no talk from anywhere at this stage, that he'll be getting over in defeat.
