Result: Edge puts Rollins away with The Stomp on a steel chair to score the pin (27:40).

Rating: Talk about a hell of a way to open the main show, and it absolutely delivered above and beyond expectations.

The pacing, the creative use of the cell and other weapons, the intensity between the two men, the psychology, the drama, and all those desperate near-falls - it was just fantastic.

The finish, with Edge giving Rollins a taste of his own medicine on a chair, was a welcome cherry on top. That Edge can still go at this level is nothing short of incredible.

All in all this was easily one of the strongest openers to any WWE event in years, even if it also meant the show hit an impossible peak right out of the gate.

When you see matches like this at Crown Jewel, these shows don't feel quite so much like soulless, also-ran filler. 9/10
