WWE Crown Jewel 2021: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best

5. WWE Universal Title: Roman Reigns (c) Vs. Brock Lesnar

Result: Roman pins Brock after knocking him out with the Universal Title to retain the strap (12:20).

Rating: This hit hard from minute one, and Lesnar thankfully showed little of the rust you might expect from someone who hasn't wrestled in 18 months.

Nobody watched this match for the technical finesse, and while the layout was incredibly conventional, it was fun to see the two just batter the tar out of each other for a dozen minutes.

It's just a shame that the ending was so wildly overbooked: Charles Robinson getting knocked out, the Usos attacking Brock, and Roman using the title to finally win.

While a Roman win here was absolutely the right call, WWE so transparently injected shenanigans into the ending to ensure Brock still looked mighty in defeat, which he surely would've done even with a less busy, cleaner finish.

A weak ending to a decent main event. 6/10
