WWE Crown Jewel 2022: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True
7. Damage CTRL Looks Weak (Again)
"Monster tag-team" would not accurately describe Dakota Kai and IYO SKY right now. There's a convincing argument to be made that they should've won the then-vacant Women's Tag-Team Titles in that tournament Trips booked back in August. Instead, the random-ass duo of Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah did.
WWE corrected that error on 12 September by having Dakota/IYO bag the belts on Raw, but they've since dropped the straps back to Asuka and Alexa Bliss. Honestly, what in the name of hell is going on with Damage CTRL? Is the group's name some inside joke at their expense, or something?
Damage CTRL needs some damage control, man.
It's a nightmare to imagine that they could come out of Crown Jewel looking weak yet again, but it looks likely. WWE might've made the change on Raw so they had an excuse to book another title change in Saudi, but even that wouldn't do much to make CTRL look dominant.
