Drew McIntyre is the kind of pro wrestler who goes above and beyond to elevate his opponents regardless of their status on the card, and that's something he deserves a huge amount of credit for. However, even the generous Scot would find it hard to help Karrion Kross along if he was written to revenge smash the baddie inside a cage on Saturday night.

Going 50/50 on payback wins is a WWE trope everyone is too familiar with.

Kross picked up a momentum-boosting victory back at Extreme Rules, and that might lead the company's power players to decree that they've done enough for him. They really haven't. Karrion isn't quite viewed as a sustainable headliner just yet - he needs a few more wins and screen time to get there.

McIntyre winning would only lead to a tiebreaker (they'd be 1-1) anyway, and it'd be difficult to see anything other than a babyface pop-gleaning Claymore Kick to end the series. No, Kross must be allowed the chance to succeed.
