WWE Crown Jewel 2023: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

9. IYO SKY Loses Her Belt Too

Might as well double up on that women's division misery.

IYO SKY appears to be viewed as little more than a transitional champion by creative. Fingers crossed that's way wide of the mark, because she has some seriously good matches, but long term? Yeah, long term it's difficult to see WWE sticking by the Damage CTRL member as Women's Champion.

Bianca Belair is a much bigger star and has the potential to blossom as a reborn heel who rubs her 'EST' stuff in everyone's faces. Higher-ups may figure that Bianca on top would be a good thing for SmackDown. It could even lead to another showdown vs. Charlotte Flair or WWE newbie Jade Cargill in time for 'Mania.

Something just feels off about SKY right now. She's probably cooked as a credible threat to the top prizes going forwards if she loses on Saturday, but she's had zero character development since winning gold. The writers may have eyes on a side-story that's been bubbling under the surface for a while instead.
