WWE Crown Jewel: 8 Things WWE Got Right

1. Putting DX Over

Best of all, WWE didn't book a stupid Shawn Michaels loss that would've killed any and all momentum for a few more show-stopping matches.

A weary-looking, injured Triple H picked up the pin, powering through a torn pectoral muscle to beat Kane and celebrate with his (slightly bloodied) pal. Although it would've been nicer to see Shawn get that nod, maybe WWE are leaving his first proper pinfall victory to a singles match later. If so, that's sneaky, not to mention smart.

Neither Michaels nor The Undertaker were directly involved in the match-ending pin. That leaves room for a match between them if WWE are set on it, and it also allows them to pivot out of the feud entirely if they're not. Kane doesn't require revenge here, making him the ideal fall guy.

Crown Jewel ended with a crowd-pleasing finish, a happy HBK and the threat of more whether WWE.com bonus interviews claim he's ready to walk away or not. Ignore those. There's no chance in hell Shawn is retiring a second time without earning some more pay-per-view dollars.
