WWE Cruiserweight Champions: Ranked From Worst To Best
4. Chavo Guerrero
Oooooooh, Chavo!
Eddie's nephew was always overshadowed by his more famous uncle, but Chavo was a talented performer in his own right and was a pretty damn good Cruiserweight Champion, too. Chavito won his first Cruiserweight Title from Rey Mysterio at No Way Out 2004, thanks to some interference by Chavo Classic.
Regrettably, this reign would come to a rather silly end when he lost it to Classic in a triple threat match (also involving Spike Dudley). Just before that went down, Chavo had to go through the whole Jacqueline programme, which didn't exactly do him any favours.
He got another shot as Cruiserweight Champion in 2005, winning the title once again at No Way Out (although he didn't get to defend it at WrestleMania as he had the year before). He dropped it to the promising Paul London on the March 31st episode of Smackdown in, of all things, a throwaway battle royal.
He won the title once more in 2007 at - you guessed it - No Way Out, winning an 8-man cruiserweight open. Once again, no PPV title defences were forthcoming, although he had some quality television matches and formed a decent team with Gregory Helms. He infamously dropped the title to Hornswoggle, but we covered that farce earlier...
Chavo had some damn fine Cruiserweight Title matches during his WWE career, but he wasn't always champ and didn't always leave with the belt. Still, he was a respectable division-header and rarely put in a poor performance. His matches with Rey Mysterio were particularly good.
