WWE Cruiserweight Champions: Ranked From Worst To Best
12. Kid Kash
The outspoken Kid Kash joined WWE in the summer of 2005 following the original ECW One Night Stand pay-per-view. He'd been on WWE's radar for some time, but was considered too small in the past. WWE were finally ready to give him a chance, feeling he'd be a good asset for the cruiserweight division.
Kash went about his work on velocity, having impressing showings against the likes of Paul London, Brian Kendrick and Funaki. He was brought to Smackdown proper in December, defeating Super Crazy to earn a shot at his Mexicools teammate Juventud at Armageddon.
At the December PPV, Kash won the Cruiserweight Title in a technically sound but heatless match. The work was good, but the crowd didn't care and chanted 'boring' to say as much. As for the reign itself, Kash only defended the title once on television, defeating Juventud on the January 3rd, 2006 episode of Smackdown.
Kash lost the title to Gregory Helms in the opener of the 2006 Royal Rumble event and never received an official singles rematch. It was evident that WWE were at a loss as to what to do with Kash, briefly teaming him up with Jamie Noble before firing him in September.
Few remember his Cruiserweight Title reign as it was completely unexceptional.
