WWE Day 1 2022: 10 Things That Must Happen

3. Big E Retains

Nothing screams, 'We're killing time' like a championship Fatal-4-Way. Still, hey, at least WWE didn't name the pay-per-view after that match type here like they did back in 2010. That'd be a terrible idea, right? It was 12 years ago, and it would be now. Besides, Big E has earned better during this lead in to 'Mania season.

Fingers crossed he gets it.

At Day 1, he has to win. Who gives a toss which challenger he pins? E can pick clean the bones of either Seth Rollins or Kevin Owens after Bobby Lashley gets some much-needed vengeance, or he can shockingly pin Lashley himself when the Hurt Business man is busily tearing everyone else to pieces.

This is an entry that's pleading to WWE's remaining common sense. Taking the belt off Big E this close to the Royal Rumble-WrestleMania period could cause irreparable damage to his status as a top-liner. He has to win this one, and rather strongly.
